The Aleo network is devoted to educating the public on the potential of applied cryptography and specifically zero-knowledge proofs in the context of decentralized technologies like the internet.
Its mission is to encourage an educational sandbox in which to explore this new design space. Its goals is also to inspire and educate existing and new developers to explore how these technologies can promote public goods.
Aleo's strategy to do this is to spread awareness of open-source tools leveraging this technology. To this end, Aleo encourages education and training, actively supports an ecosystem of related, open-source technologies, and provides grants that spread this technology for the good of all.
